So, what's this all about?
Telanorth is a small web agency based in the North West of England. Combining creativity and technical expertise in equal measures we provide web sites that achieve their aims, and develop services to encourage standards adoption among the wider web community.
After working at other web companies we realised not one was keeping up with new web technology, they were not innovating, simply following, their only focus was maximising profits at the expense of quality. We feel this approach leads to stagnation, which is not acceptable in the fast moving world of the web. We wanted to work in an environment that encourages creativity, experimentation and standards, so Tela North was born.

When you work with someone, you want to be sure they really know what they are talking about and not just saying things to get your money. For this reason you will never speak with sales people, we believe that the people who design and build websites will know what’s best for you and your business online, it’s what they are good at, and it’s what we pay them for.
How we work
Working in a creative industry we have found many companies never take the time to fully explain to clients how it works. Clients end up being given unrealistic expectations from sales people who don’t quite understand what they are even selling.
At Tela North, we believe in keeping things simple. We run our projects according to the scrum agile process, which dictates that we break our projects down into concise user stories, during our sprint planning sessions. This process intrinsically helps explain development challenges and how they will be met or overcome. These stories are understandable to the layperson, with subsequent tasks, based on these stories, giving developers and technical stakeholders the finer details on what tools and methods will be employed.
